General Motors has received 108 more claims seeking compensation of injury and deaths related to faulty ignition switch.
The company previously set up a compensation program worth $400m for the same, and till now it has received a total of 2,818 claims.
So far the program has considered 49 deaths, seven severe injuries and 65 other injuries to be eligible for the compensation.
Reuters cited GM compensation program lawyer Kenneth Feinberg as saying that through Friday, the Detroit based car maker received 311 claims for death, 2,300 for injuries, and 207 cases for serious injuries.
According to the compensation report, the number of eligible claims have rose to 121 from 112.
The report also highlighted the reason for rejection of some of the claims which includes 320 claims deemed as ineligible, 757 did not have sufficient paperwork or evidence and 763 had no documentation at all.
However, the company has also kept 857 claims under review.
