Astha Narang’s new creative and youthful collection titled ‘Canyonite’ created a stir at the Tata Nano Talent Box during Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013.
The collection showcased Indo-western wear for the modern Indian woman, a blending of western ideas onto Indian silhouettes and forms.
Easy to mould fabrics like suede and silks made their way down the ramp as flamboyant dresses, gowns, trousers, tops and skirts.
The colour palette comprised head turning shades – Black, beige, ochre and red that gave the designer’s line a versatile appeal.
Zari work complimented embroidery along with sequins adding a vibrant, shimmering mythical touch along with 3D motifs on suede and silks. The silhouettes were kept simple yet intricate, with the designer using cutouts for a subtle sex appeal.
The show stopper beautiful Miss Universe Canada, Sahar Binaz---- graced the runway in a ravishing black gown sporting gathers and delicate embroidery.
