German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new Atego for light and medium-duty distribution transportation.
The vehicle is powered by an SCR-based BlueTec 5.1L four-cylinder engines that are available in seven variants and generate outputs from 115kW/156hp to 220kW/299hp.
Claimed by the company to comply with the Euro VI-regulations, the engine has six filter systems installed in an exhaust box and are controlled by an electronic system that regulates the emission control system.
Features of the vehicle include the ESP system, the automated transmissions, clear graphic display in the central instrument panel, a multifunctional steering wheel and redesigned seats.
The truck comes with transmissions of six, eight or nine gears and a power take-off positioned on the flywheel side of the engine that offers torque of up to 600Nm.
Additionally, the truck features an optional 80L plastic tank in place of the 120L diesel tank, aluminum wheels of sizes ranging from 17.5 inches to 19.5 inches, and is available with 15 different wheelbase lengths, ranging from 3020mm to 6260mm.
