It’s reported that Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals, one of the major stainless steel pipe producers in China has planned to raise its stainless steel pipe outputs by 19% from a year ago to 66,800 tons in 2013.
Last year, the company commissioned new capacities with a combined production of 5,000 tpy for high-value added products.
Besides, Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals planned to start the trails on a 20,000 tpy large-diameter welded pipes mill in mid-2013.
Also, the company inked a contract with local shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding to supply low temperature stainless tubes for RMB46 million.
In 2012, the company’s production of stainless steel pipes totaled 56,300 tons, rising by 22% from a year ago.
