Julian’s Recipe is voluntarily recalling European Style Pretzel Baguette packages from HEB Stores in Texas, US, over allergy concerns.
According to the company, certain packages of Pretzel Baguettes may contain Julian's European Style Multigrain Garlic Baguettes, which are made with soy flour.
This product is a safety concern for consumers who are allergic to soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy can experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to-date in connection with this problem.
The recall, which is being conducted in co-operation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), was initiated after a consumer discovered Garlic Baguettes in a Pretzel Baguette package.
The products affected by the recall are Julian's Recipe European Style Pretzel Baguettes, Net Wt. 11.3 oz (320g), bearing Unit UPC: 8 55971 00226 9; Lot Code: L2312; and Best Before date of 02/10/2014.
The affected boxes of European Style Pretzel Baguettes were only shipped to HEB Stores in Texas.
Consumers who have purchased the mislabeled Pretzel Baguette boxes may return them to the place of purchase for a full refund
