Sennheiser Comes to PLASA 2012 with a Bold Statement of Intent

UK-Neatly summing up its mission to achieve"the utmost excellence in every part of its business",Sennheiser comes to PLASA 2012 with a bold statement of intent-The Pursuit Of Perfect Sound.

Exhibiting on Stand 1-F6,the pursuit of excellence has been the core of Sennheiser's ethos since the company was founded nearly 70 years ago. This year Sennheiser is reaffirming its quest to seamlessly link science and emotion by launching its continuing mission for The Pursuit of Perfect Sound.

"We believe that the purer and more intense a sound is,the greater the emotional response it produces in the listener,"says Phil Massey,Sennheiser UK's general manager."This bringing together of science and emotion is why we strive to make the very best equipment possible.By providing Sennheiser users with perfect sound, they get the most rewarding experience from it."

The Sennheiser Group,in line with The Pursuit of Perfect Sound, continues to develop and invest in digital technologies. With digital wired microphones from Neumann and Sennheiser gaining recognition and the recent launch of the flagship 9000 Series digital wireless microphone system at this year's IBC show in Amsterdam,Sennheiser claims to lead the field in this area of emerging technology.

This has been driven by last year's adoption of a new global organisational structure, which saw Daniel and Andreas Sennheiser appointed to the executive management board of the Sennheiser Group.UK customers enjoyed an immediate benefit from the restructure, with Gerry Forde joining Sennheiser UK as director of sales and marketing-pro and install.

Sennheiser UK has also added two new additions to its portfolio of distributed brands,Avalon and Nagra, both of which companies have the same ethos of producing and the reputation for products that deliver the highest quality audio.

With the end of 2012 just over the horizon, product managers Alan March and Simon Beesley provided a timely reminder about the effects of the Channel 38 switchover in Time for Change, which was held on 11 September as part of PLASA's Professional Development Programme.

With the exception of the 9000 Series, this year's Sennheiser stand does not feature any products, and the stand design follows the simple, yet bold approach that was first seen at ProLight+Sound in April. However,a selection the company's professional audio solutions are on show in the Piccadilly and Mayfair demo rooms and demonstrations on the hour, every hour during show opening times, plus technical staff on hand to discuss any questions. Also on display there will be a wide range of Sennheiser and Neumann microphones,as well as innovative products from its distributed brands, including APart Audio,DAS Audio,K-array and RANE.

"The simplicity of our stand brings its own impact and reflects our statement,"concludes Massey."And having the added benefit of a dedicated demo room will enable us to fully demonstrate the benefits of the products we distribute to the UK."
