German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the BlueEFFICIENCY (BE) edition models in the A-Class range that are scheduled to go on sale by 1 February 201
The models include the A 180 BE edition expected to be powered by a 1.6L petrol engine, which generate an output of 122hp (90kW) while delivering 45.2 mpg and 120g/km CO2 emissions.
The A 180 CDI BE edition is expected to be equipped with a 1.5L engine that generates 109hp (80kW) output with 65.3mpg average and CO2 emissions of about 92g/km.
Both the hatchbacks feature the partially covered upper section of the radiator grille, spring link coverings and a 15mm lower suspension.
Featuring the manual transmission with long gear ratios in the higher gears, the vehicles sport round LED daytime running lamps fixed into the bumper, which is available with bi-xenon headlamps or the Intelligent Light System.
