Nestle's KitKat Launches New Peanut Butter Flavour

Nestlé’s KitKat brand has launched a new peanut butter flavour of its shareable KitKat Bites.

The introduction of the new flavour marks the first time that the praline layer of KitKat has been replaced.

Peanut butter fills in instead in between the wafers to provide a nutty taste and texture as per the manufacturer.

Introduced last year, KitKat Bites have become well known among those looking for a shareable treat, said Nestle.

The food giant further added that the popular peanut butter flavour is likely to have similar results in the market.

Nestlé UK & Ireland business unit head Haseeb Rahman said: “We know that people love to try new KitKat flavours and peanut butter has been popular in our KitKat Chunky range for more than ten years.

"We are now very excited to bring it to KitKat Bites, enabling our consumers to share their favourite product with their family and friends, making sharing breaks even better.”

Rahman also revealed that Nestle will be running a 56-day promotion to have 56,000 lucky people to design their own KitKat packaging.

As per the promotion, lucky winners who get a winning code in their KitKat pack can upload a photograph and message online. In turn, they will get a real four finger KitKat in a gift box with their own design from Nestle’s factory in York, UK.

Earlier in the month, the food and nutrition company had unveiled plans of expanding its Eau Claire manufacturing plant in Wisconsin, US to meet the nutritional needs of American consumers of all age groups.

In the same timeline, Nestle had announced to move Technical & Production unit and Supply Chain teams to its Solon campus in Ohio, US in a move that would create 300 jobs.
