Maruzen Petrochemical is undertaking maintenance turnaround at its two MEG plants in March and May 2013, respectively.
A Maruzen official told fibre2fashion, “The MEG plant in Yokkaichi will undergo turnaround on March 22 and will be shutdown till April 16.” He added, “Another MEG plant in Chiba will have a scheduled turnaround on May 15.” Maruzen Petrochemical operates two MEG plants in Japan. The Chiba plant has a production capacity of 115,000 tons per year, while the plant in Yokkaichi has a capacity of 82,000 tons per annum.
