Punj Lloyd has commissioned India's VA Tech Wabag Ltd to supply a US$10 million desalination plant and ultrapure water treatment system for Qatar Solar Technologies'new industrial complex at Ras Laffan in Qatar.A new industrial complex is currently under construction at Ras Laffan for the production of polysilicones.The desalination plant will employ reverse osmosis technology and supply 8000 m3/d of water for the production process.An ultrapure system with deionisation and ultrafiltration will provide the super pure water needed for the most sensitive production phases.This is Wabag India's first delivery of an ultrapure water treatment system.
