Alcoa Takes Over Evermore Recycling Completely

US producer of primary and fabricated aluminum, Alcoa has taken full control of Evermore Recycling, which is now a part of Alcoa’s Global Packaging group and will continue to be based in Nashville, Tennessee, US.

Earlier, Alcoa and Novelis were partners in the joint venture which purchases recycled cans. In July 2012, Alcoa agreed to take full control of Evermore at the end of August 2012.

Evermore Recycling is engaged in used beverage can (UBC) recycling and is at present operating as a wholly-owned entity of Alcoa.

The recyclable aluminum can is the most sustainable package in the world. The cans require 95% less energy compared to cans using primary metal and are recycled into new cans in less than 60 days.
