Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi will launch its new Attrage sedan in Thailand in July 2013, which was unveiled as the G4 sedan concept at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March and the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2013.
Incorporating a lightweight reinforced impact safety evolution (RISE) body, the new sedan is powered by a 1.2L Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system (MIVEC) engine.
The engine will be mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with sub-geartrain or 5-speed manual transmission, which would assist in offering a fuel efficiency of 22kmpl.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the enhanced aerodynamics offer a drag coefficient (CD) of 0.29, while the passenger comfort is improved through generous rear seat leg space, high hip point and large door openings that facilitate entry and exit.
The new sedan, which meets the requirements of the Thai government's Eco-car Project, will be manufactured at the Mitsubishi Motors' (Thailand) third facility at the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate in Thailand's Chonburi province.
