German Automaker Daimler Has Commenced The Production of Its Mercedes-Benz V-Class Mpvs

German automaker Daimler has commenced the production of its Mercedes-Benz V-Class MPVs at its plant in Vitoria, Spain.

This move is a part of the company's growth strategy and strengthens the van plant in the division's global production network.

According to the company, the new V-Class combines the functionality of a van and the characteristic strengths of a Mercedes-Benz car.

Daimler invested around EUR190m in the Mercedes-Benz plant in Vitoria, Spain, to modernize and reorganize the plant's body shop, paint shop, and assembly units for the production of the new V-Class.

Mercedes-Benz Vans Head Volker Mornhinweg said: "In particular, we will be able to reach customers who have previously preferred to buy a traditional car even though they actually need the space that an MPV offers."

With an annual capacity of 75,000 units, Vehicles produced at the Vitoria plant are being exported globally and are sold in Europe, Asia, Russia and Africa.
