In the latest rating published by the Carbon Disclosure Project(CDP),Georg Fischer reached a very high score.With 88 out of a possible 100 points,Georg Fischer was awarded the top ranking of the Small and Mid Cap(SMIM)companies for the first time.
The Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index(CDLI)is one of the world s leading sustainability ratings.A total of 655 institutional investors score the transparency of climate protection-relevant data published by companies.Of the 350 companies surveyed from Germany,Austria and Switzerland,36 qualified for inclusion in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index(CDLI).
The jury was impressed by Georg Fischer s clear identification of the opportunities and risks arising from climate change and by its significantly more transparent reporting compared with previous years.Georg Fischer s sustainable commitment is reflected in a variety of local initiatives.For instance,it has invested consistently in the development of light-weight components for the automotive industry or made available waste heat generated in production for use as process heat.
