German carmaker Opel has rolled out its first Cascada convertible from its Gliwice plant in Poland ahead of its debut at the upcoming Geneva motor show next week.
According to the company, the new car will be made available in two variants including the gasoline and diesel versions.
The gasoline version of the vehicle will be powered by the 1.6L SIDI Turbo engine with direct injection mated to six-speed manual transmission that generates output of 125kW/170hp.
Diesel version of the convertible will come with the 2L CDTI ecoFLEX engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that generates 121kW/165hp.
The company also intends to add another version to the car powered by the 2L BiTurbo CDTI ecoFLEX engine with six-speed manual transmission that would generate 143kW/195hp and torque of 400nm, while including Start/Stop technology.
Features of the vehicle include three optional infotainment and navigation systems that can be combined with digital audio broadcast (DAB) and mobile telephone functions, adaptive chassis system FlexRide, Opel Eye front camera, heated steering wheel and electrical auxiliary heater.
The Cascada is part of company's plan to launch 23 new vehicles and 13 new powertrains diring 2012-2016.
