AHMSA Have Accepted a 6% Increase in Pay Following Collective Contract Negotiations

Reportedly, unionized workers at Altos Hornos de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (AHMSA), the largest integrated steel plant in Mexico, have accepted a 6% increase in pay following collective contract negotiations.

The agreement was negotiated for workers employed at the Siderúrgica 1 plant and the Lavadora 2 facility, which is operated by subsidiary Unidad Mimosa. The agreement also included increase in grocery voucher allowance, vacation entitlements and annual bonuses.
