Fiat Group has acquired 6.4% of the market shares with sales of about 800,000 units in Europe in 2012.
The firm sold about 65,000 vehicles in the UK in 2012, up by 10.9% compared to the 2011sales, while increasing market share by 0.2% to 3.2% that includes the December sales of 51,000 vehicles with 6% market share.
About 582,000 units were sold by the Fiat brand in 2012 that resulted in 4.6% share of the market, while it sold about 37,000 vehicles in December with a market share of 4.4%, while it saw a 19.3% increase in sales in the UK, 1% rise in sales in Spain.
Lancia/Chrysler nearly doubled sales in the UK (+182%) and also achieved significant increases in France (+25.6%) and Germany (+3.8%), while Jeep sales volumes was up by 19% over 2011.
Lancia/Chrysler sold about 94,000 units in 2012 with 0.7% share of the market in 2012, including the December sales of about 5,600 units, a 0.7% market share, while the brand recorded a 3.8% rise in Germany and up 25.6% in France.
The UK market saw a 182% year-over-year increase in sales by the Lancia/Chrysler brand, whereas the Alfa Romeo sales went to 90,000 vehicles with European market share of 0.7%, the Jeep brand sales were up by 19% to about 28,000 units with December sales up 11.4% in 2012.
