JDA Software Group, Inc., announced that Trading Fashion Line S.A. (aka Topitop), a South American chain of retail stores headquartered in Peru, has selected the JDA Allocation, JDA Warehouse Management, JDA Enterprise Planning and JDA Portfolio Merchandise Management solutions to help integrate and centralize its merchandising, allocation and inventory management to help drive customer satisfaction and increase profitability. The JDA solutions were selected after an extensive competitive selection process.
Topitop, a privately held and family owned company based in Lima, Peru, is a leading manufacturer and retailer of affordable clothing targeting middle-class consumers. Topitop revenues are derived partly from sales at its Topitop branded company-owned retail stores, with the rest of Topitop revenues coming from wholesale exports of its clothing to retailers outside Peru, including the U.S., to sell as private-label goods under the retailers’ own brands.
The JDA Allocation, JDA Enterprise Planning and JDA Portfolio Merchandise Management solutions will help Topitop gain control over its inventory, plan all seasonal activities such as buying, merchandising and budgeting, and optimize store product allocations. The JDA Warehouse Management solution will enable Topitop to efficiently and effectively control, manage and reduce its distribution center costs. Together, the solutions will allow Topitop to improve inventory rotation, increase margins and significantly reduce planning activities.
“At Topitop, we understand the demanding needs of shoppers. We must provide them a local value offering at the point of sale, both from a product variety and a consumer preferences standpoint that can be translated into local assortments, at the right prices and time,” said Cesar Vargas, chief executive officer of retail, Topitop. “We selected JDA due to their extensive experience of more than 20 years in Latin America retail, with the largest installed base of retailers using JDA solutions in Chile, Peru, Colombia and overall in Latin America.”
“JDA’s retail solutions, experience, vision and methodology were the reasons why we selected JDA,” said Eric Padilla, director of planning and supply chain, Topitop. “The JDA team understood our market and business requirements and provided a tailor-made proposal that addressed all our needs. JDA solutions will give us the competitive advantage we need to drive improved profitability and increased customer satisfaction.”
“We are pleased that Topitop has selected our merchandising, allocation and inventory management solutions as an integral component of their growth platform,” said Antonio Boccalandro, group vice president, Latin America, JDA Software.
“Topitop, who looks to drive significant growth in new store sales, sales per store, new countries and new channels, conducted a detailed analysis of solution vendors who could support their growth and increase profitability with the least amount of risk. We look forward to continue working with Topitop, a family owned business that shares many of our core objectives and principles.”
