WILLOWBROOK, Ill. — King Koil has signed a license agreement with SilverRest Sleep Products of Los Angeles to manufacture and distribute King Koil-branded products in five states in the West.
SilverRest, to be known as King Koil-Southwest, will serve California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Hawaii.
"We're very enthused about our new partnership with King Koil Southwest, which has excellent connections with both grassroots dealers and several notable Top 100 retailers in the West," said Dave Roberts, president and chief operating officer of King Koil. "We're also very excited about the capabilities of the company and the efficiency of its 60,000-square-foot factory."
A family business founded in the early 1980s and operated by general manager Steve Rovnak, SliverRest Sleep Products cuts its own foam and produces innerspring and specialty mattresses in addition to pillows, toppers and a number of other comfort accessories for travel and home.
SilverRest plans to expand its factory in the near future to accommodate anticipated growth, officials said.
Aireloom, the former West Coast licensee for King Koil, left the licensee group at the end of last year, officials at that company said.
