Almost 20 years after the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz SLK, the German automaker has given a facelift to the lineup and has renamed it to Mercedes-AMG SLC cars.
The lineup includes SLC 180, SLC 200, SLC 300, SLC 250 d, and SLC 43 cars.
The SLC 250 d, SLC 300 and SLC 43 feature the sport/comfort-oriented 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission as standard.
SLC180 entry-level model will be powered by turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine offering 154bhp and 184lb ft, and the SLC200 will be powered by 2.0-litre engine delivering the 181bhp.
Mercedes is offering 'Dynamic Select' with the vehicles which will allow the driver to adjust the characteristics of the vehicle with just a button.
It includes five modes, "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport+", "Eco" and "Individual" which modifies the engine, transmission, steering and suspension at the driver's behest.
The cars will also feature a new 7-inch high-resolution COMAND infotainment screen replaces the 5.8-inch unit, and the gauge cluster features a 4.5-inch TFT display.
Daimler board member Ola Kllenius said: "In 1996 Mercedes-Benz redefined the roadster with its innovative vario-roof, and combined open-air driving pleasure with uncompromised comfort in poor weather.
"The renamed compact roadster remains an ideal combination of passion and rational common sense, appealing to both the heart and the mind."
