UK-based pharmaceutical development and device company Glide Pharma has appointed Dr. Mark Carnegie-Brown as its chief executive officer (CEO).
Earlier to this appointment, Carnegie-Brown served as CEO of Evolutec, a biological drug development business, where he led a successful IPO and established the company's clinical and manufacturing programmes.
He was also CEO of Aenova, a pharmaceutical tablet and capsule manufacturer, where he led the integration of the Swisscaps and Dragenopharm organisations.
Glide Pharma's chairman Mark Kirby said Carnegie-Brown's research and commercial experience, and in particular his expertise in building successful clinical and manufacturing programmes, will prove invaluable as the firm improves its capabilities and advances the development of its in-house programmes.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Ian Smith, our previous CEO, for his contribution to the success of Glide, and I look forward to his continuing support as a member of the company's Board," Kirby added.
