Menswear Inspired Supima Skivvies Is Created by Sloane and Tate

“Sloane & Tate has been shaped by the city in which it was conceptualized -- Los Angeles --The sunshine, the sea air, the casual and relaxed atmosphere,” says co-founder Eliza Ladensohn.

She and her partner Susana de la Rionda started their homegrown line as luxurious menswear- inspired innerwear, gradually expanding to include sleep and loungewear.

The design duo pride themselves on their hands on, LA only production. “There was never a question as to where the line would be produced,” says Ladensohn. “We believe strongly in producing our line in a positive working environment. This is something that is important to us and to our customers and I believe it permeates throughout our pieces.”

And when it comes to the cotton that lays so snugly over their customers’ bodies, the ladies rely on Supima. “One of the reasons I started Sloane & Tate was because I couldn’t find fine quality 100% cotton underwear that was new and exciting,” Ladensohn says.

“So I knew I wanted cotton. I spent hundreds of hours looking for the perfect fabric. It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. When I came across the sample of particular Supima cotton, I knew I had found it. It’s the hand, the way it hangs and the way it feels on the body. Because our line is classic and minimalist, our fabric is the real star of the show.”
