Robert Brkle has reported that its revenues were even lower than had been recently projected in the 2011 financial year.Back in August, the company revised downward its original revenue forecast of 110m issued in the first quarter of 2011 to 105m.In actual fact, the company ended 2011 with revenues of 96m(2010:90m),preliminary figures show.Brkle blamed this downturn on lower-than-expected photovoltaic systems business. These activities achieved just half of projected turnover. On the other hand, its Surfaces and Plastic Cards/Multilayer divisions exceeded their targets.Back in August,Brkle made it clear that its Surfaces division would likely encounter a very strong growth in revenues in the wake of a revival in order intake for digital printing and laminating systems and the addition of EPS and XPS insulating materials profiling and packing machines to its product range at the end of 2010.
