Cavaghan & Gray, owned by UK-based 2 Sisters Food, has outlined plans to expand its ready meals production facility at Riverbank, Carlise, Cumbria.
The expansion follows the company securing a new ready-to-cook fish meals supply contract.
The project, which is likely to create 90 new jobs, will involve installation of potato cooking, mash processing, and sauce cooking equipment as well as two production lines and chilled storage facilities.
It will see an additional 25 product lines in ready-to-cook fish meal segment, and provide the company with 20% more capacity, allowing it to meet consumer demand.
Carlisle site director William Duncanson said, "This announcement further strengthens our strategic partnership with our customers and it also reflects the confidence held by them in the whole team here in Carlisle.
The facility is expected to go onstream in September.
The company currently offers a range of products, including potato based ready meals, vegetable accompaniments, fish cakes and crisp bakes.
