The company spark has set out to create a device that can control your light bulbs. What they've created is a piece of technology that you use in between the socket and the bulb to control when its on and it's off.
This device allows you to manage one light bulb or many from the internet. You can do this through you phone, ipad or computer. Spark also lets you connect your lights to other apps on your smart phone or Cloud devices so they can interact with the lights in your home.
Once installed, the Spark connects to the internet over your existing Wi-Fi network and communicates with their servers and works with any standard dimmable bulb. You can control your lights remotely, from your bed or anywhere in the world. Spark can also allow other apps to interact with your lights so it can turn lights on and off while users are on vacation, turn bedroom lights into a "sunrise" alarm clock to help you wake naturally, and flash lights when a new text message or email is received.
