Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO), a US motor insurer, has appointed Seth Ingall as the new senior vice president of the company to manage claims home office, staff counsel, communications and the GEICO philanthropic foundation.
Succeeding Don Lyons, Ingall will also continue to serve on the board of directors of GEICO's insurance companies.
Prior to being promoted, Ingall was working as regional vice president since 2007, first leading GEICO's regional office in Woodbury, New York and in 2012, he moved to GEICO's regional office in Buffalo, New York.
Having joined in 1986, Ingall originally was appointed as a certified insurance counselor interviewer, and completed many important assignments with increased responsibility.
GEICO operates as a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies and is the third-largest private passenger auto insurance company in the US.
It serves more than 11 million private passenger customers and insures more than 18 million vehicles auto & cycle, while also insuring motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), travel trailers and motorhomes (RVs).
