GO2 Foods has acquired Yorkshire-based pudding maker Real Yorkshire Pudding Company (RYP) from its founder Paul Holmes.
GO2 Foods is a new business which was founded by food industry executives.
The deal will see RYP managing director Charles Payne maintain his shareholding and re-invest in GO2-RYP along with other investors. He will also continue to be at the helm at RYP.
The Real Yorkshire Pudding Co makes around 100 million puddings annually at its 43,000sft manufacturing facility in Thorne near Doncaster, reports Insidermedia.com.
Founded in 1991, Real Yorkshire Pudding Co supplies puddings to food retailers and wholesalers, reports Foodmanufacture.co.uk.
Recently, the company introduced gluten-free product range.
Following the acquisition, Glisten founder Paul Simmonds and Rob Davies, who are also the GO2 directors, will continue in their respective roles.
RYP managing director Charles Payne was quoted by Insider Media as saying: "We have had a good year and a great Christmas trading and we all believe that we can now go on and release the potential we all know exists in this business - particularly through broadening our product offering, innovating moree publication as saying: "Weh-quality platform which was already producing really good 2 and RYP organically and through acquisition in the years ahead. RYP is a great start to our new venture."
