Earlier this year, reputed tipster Evan Blass gave us our first hint that HTC was working on a new upper mid-range counterpart to the HTC 10: the Desire 10.
Now, according to a report from VentureBeat, it has emerged the company is actually working on two variants of the handset, said to be called the Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle.
The report, based on information from 'someone briefed on the company's plans', claims the Lifestyle will be a lower-spec version of the Pro, and both phones will apparently be launched this September.
Featuring a 5.5-inch screen, the Lifestyle is said to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, come in a variety of matte colours, and feature a metallic gold trim around the edges, the camera lens, flash, and antenna cutouts.
This matches Blass' earlier leak which provided the following image of the purported camera lens on the Desire 10.
While no details for the Pro model were provided, the Lifestyle is reported as packing in a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of unknown speed and will either come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage or 2GB and 16GB depending on the region.
The display is said to feature a 720p resolution, while the phone's rear camera is expected to be a 13-megapixel, backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor with a single LED flash.
In terms of the front-facing setup, the report quotes a 5-megapixel resolution and claims both front and rear cameras will be able to shoot full HD, 1080p video.
On top of that, the Lifestyle could sport Boomsound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers and 24-bit system audio, with HTC said to be providing high quality headphones with an 'increased frequency range' to accompany the newly boosted audio features.
Unfortunately no pricing details are given in the report, so we'll have to wait and see how much HTC's new handsets will cost.
