Renewable chemicals company, EcoSynthetix has commissioned a new £80m production line within its existing manufacturing facility in the US.
The new line comprising the latest process automation technology allowing for maximum efficiency with limited manual intervention, includes a fully automated packaging system featuring stringent package weight control and ultrasonic bag sealing.
The automated packaging system enables the company to offer a complete series of packaging options to its customers, which comprise super-sacks and 25kg bags.
According to EcoSynthetix, the line, which is expected to bring the company's annualized capacity to 235 million pounds has been designed for flexibility, with the capability to accommodate multiple feedstocks.
EcoSynthetix chairman and CEO John van Leeuwen said with over 200 million pounds of capacity, the company is in a position to supply the new customers in the paper and paperboard market, as well as in new markets.
