Australia-based packaging company, Amcor has introduced Amcor Light, a new range of environmentally improved films for fresh and dairy applications.
The films offer optimum weight while retaining visual appearance, said the company.
Amcor Light is said to reduce packaging weight and carbon footprint by up to one third compared to standard films.
Its range offers solutions for flowpack as well as lidding applications with main families of OPA Light (replacing the traditional OPA/PE films) and OPET Light (replacing the OPET/PE family of films).
In 2012, Amcor Light Lid combined with Amcor Ceramis high barrier bagged 'Best Packaging' award at the CIBUS fair.
