RF and mixed-signal semiconductor maker Anadigics Inc of Warren,NJ,USA says that Tim Laverick has joined it as VP,infrastructure products,and Robert Bayruns has been promoted to VP&chief technology officer.Laverick is a business and engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in the RF and microwave semiconductor industry,and Bayruns has over 30 years of leadership and engineering experience.

Laverick has a general management background,including sales,marketing,and manufacturing.Starting his career as a circuit designer,he held various engineering and management roles,eventually serving as general manager of the fiber-optic product segment at Anadigics,as well as VP of design technology.He has authored numerous technical articles and holds three US patents.Laverick earned a B.S.degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and has completed graduate and executive courses at both Rutgers University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to his recent tenure at Anadigics,Bayruns was VP of engineering&product development at Jacket Micro Devices.He has held the position of VP of engineering&product development at Mobilian,TROPIAN,and WJ Communications.Bayruns played an instrumental role during the Anadigics start-up in 1985,where he led the development of the industry's first GaAs MMIC power amplifier(PA)to go into volume production in a cell phone.He has extensive experience in silicon and gallium arsenide circuits,systems,and device technologies,has authored more than 20 technical articles,and holds 20 US patents.He was also involved in the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society(MTT-S)International Microwave Symposium(IMS 2012)and International Solid-State Circuits Conference(ISSCC),where was chairman of the ISSCC communications and wireless committees for a number of years.Bayruns earned an M.S.E.E.from Rutgers University specializing in ICs and semiconductor device physics.
