A new company comprising the Venezuelan firms Diademas Unidas and Inversiones TP 12, has established a plant in northern Puerto Rico to produce pastas, sauces and other Italian food products.
This plant is expected to create employment for around 200 people.
The plant is likely to reach to 75% production capacity within next three months following the training of the personnel, reports Latin American Herald Tribune.
The factory is situated in a formerly abandoned public building, which belongs to the island's economic development agency. The building has now been renovated to open plant.
The new company will make use of local resources to produce filled pastas, frozen products, pasta sauces and Italian baked goods.
