Navistar Inc. said it has redesigned its online truck configuration tool to allow customers to virtually design several models.
The tool allows users to view different configurations of International, ProStar, DuraStar and TerraStar models. It is available at www.internationaltrucks.com.
Users start by selecting their cab type, mirrors, aerodynamic package and other exterior features. Options for various powertrain configurations are available as well as engine, transmission and axle options.
"We know that an increasing number of customers in the commercial truck industry are researching their product wants, needs and desires online before visiting a dealership," Michael Cerilli, vice president of marketing at Navistar, said in a statement. "It's all about empowering the user to spec' their desired truck with the click of a mouse."
