Chinese automaker GAC Motor is set to showcase its sedan and electric concept car at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
The company will showcase is high-end models including GA8, GS8 and GM8 at the event, which will be held from January 13 to 18, 2018 at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
GA4 is a family sedan built on the company's A-class sedan platform. It will also showcase the first new-energy concept SUV Enverge, designed for the North American market.
The company's new-energy concept SUV will unfold the cutting-edge technologies and potential in the fields of vehicle electrification, networking and intelligent system.
GAC intends to define the future of mobility with its products by focusing on building high-end models.
GAC Motor president Yu Jun said: "GAC Motor will present an update to its strategy in the US market around brand, marketing as well as product at the NAIAS, offering a new blueprint as the company moves towards officially entering the market in 2019.
"The American market has the strictest standards, laws and regulations, so entering it is a challenge as well as test for GAC Motor's quality, technology and R&D capabilities. We believe that entering the North American market will drive GAC Motor to improve its R&D, product quality, brand influence and business management, while enabling us to integrate global resources in developed markets and further facilitate internationalization."
Last year, the company stated that it met is annual sales target of 500,000 in China, which was a 37.2% year-on-year increase.
