2018 Subaru Crosstrek Starts at $21, 795

Subaru of America said pricing for the entry-level Crosstrek 2.0i will start from $21,795, representing a $100 increase over the earlier model.

The company announced pricing on the all-new 2018 Crosstrek line.

The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 litre Boxer engine with direct injection. The vehicle comes in different variants including 2.0i base, premium and limited.

For the first time, Subaru has introduced the Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) for the 2.0i engine range.

All of the new Crosstreks are equipped with Subaru’s standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and is offered either in 6-speed manual or CVT depending on the trim level. Compared to the previous model, the transmission system has been upgraded from 5-speed to the new 6-speed manual transmission system.

CVT features a 7-speed manual mode function with steering wheel paddle shifters, which is available only in premium and limited edition models only.

The new vehicle is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of 23 city/29 hwy and 25 combined miles per gallon.

Crosstrek 2.0i is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels and comes with a suite of new standard features including, raised Stablex suspension and Active Torque Vectoring. CVT models come with X-MODE and Hill Descent Control for increased performance in low-friction and off-road conditions.

On the inside, there is a new 6.5-inch touchscreen for the Subaru’s Starlink Multimedia system that adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, power windows with auto up/down on both driver and passenger sides; 60/40-split fold-down rear seat; power door locks and side mirrors; multi-function display with fuel economy information; tilt and telescoping steering column; security system with engine immobilizer; carpeted floor mats; and more. 

The base version 2.0i with 6 speed manual transmission starts at an MSRP of $21,795 and the price goes up to $26,295 for 2.0i limited version.

Subaru’s Starlink offers Connected Services with Safety Plus package that offers SOS Emergency Assistance, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Maintenance Notifications, Monthly Vehicle Health Report and Diagnostics Alerts.

The package can be upgraded to Safety Plus & Security Plus package that adds Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service, Vehicle Security Alarm Notification, Remote Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn and Lights and Remote Vehicle Locator.
