General Motors (GM) has launched the new Chevrolet Cruze sedan powered by a new FAM Z 2.0-litre diesel engine.
According to GM, the new sedan is offered in three variants, which include LT and LTZ models with six-speed manual transmission and an LTZ with an automatic transmission.
The features of 16-valve DOHC engine include common rail fuel injection system and variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) with intercooler, which allow it to generate a power of 166ps at 3,800 rpm and 380Nm torque at 2,000 rpm.
GM said that the new cylinder head port design improves air flow and variable swirl control by integrating Cobra-shape intake ports, which further enhances performance and reduces emissions.
The new Chevrolet Cruze also features a passive entry passive start (PEPS) with Push button start/stop as standard in all variants and a power express driver up/down window with pinch protect among many others.
