India's Prova Flavours Start a 10000sq Ft Manufacturing Plant in Mahadevapura,Bengaluru

India’s Prova Flavours, the manufacturer of cocoa, coffee and vanilla flavours and extracts, is set to start a 10,000sq ft manufacturing plant in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru.

With the new plant, the company will process and extract flavours both in the form of powder and liquid, FnBnews.com reported.

Prova Flavours CEO Hervé Prime was quoted by FnBnews.com as saying: "To cater to the growing local demand by its customers and providing them high-quality products, we would be manufacturing the flavours here with raw material imported from France and those that are available in India as well.

"The current planned capacity for the product is 500 tonnes per year, on which the investment incurred to date is € 400,000.

"By the end of 2014, we plan to start manufacturing powders, and the manufacturing of liquids would commence in the first trimester of 2015."

Established in 1946, Prova Flavours is claimed to be one of the world's major vanilla pod processors.

The confectionery industry of India has an estimated growth of 18-20% per year. It reported 25% growth in 2013.
