British luxury automaker Rolls Royce has unveiled the Serenity Phantom concept car at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.
Inspired by the Rolls Royce cars of the early 1900's, the company's Bespoke Design department used natural materials including silk and smoked Cherrywood to enhance the interior of the new luxury car.
Rolls Royce said: "The marque's Bespoke Design team took inspiration from the opulent interiors of Rolls-Royces that have conveyed Kings and Queens, Emperors and Empresses and world leaders.
"Add to this, contemporary interpretations of furniture design combined with Japanese Royal robe motifs and Rolls-Royce designers have delivered a truly innovative, thoroughly modern and tranquil Rolls-Royce interior."
Inside the cabin, Rolls Royce used a traditional Japanese painting technique called 'unconscious painting' to produce detailed designs of crimson blossoms; branches, leaves, flowers, and bamboo.
On the exterior, the company used 'Bespoke Mother of Pearl' color, which is claimed to be one of the most expensive one-off paint used by the luxury auto maker.
According to Rolls Royce, it added three stage pearl effects and polished it to give it a shimmering look and a two-colour coachline with a three-colour blossom motif that compliments the interior.
Serenity Phantom is based on Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II, which features V12 engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox that helps the car cut down CO2 emission to 347g/km from the previous 385g/km.
It also features satellite navigation system with 3D map display, Larger control centre display with easy selection of key functions, and an assistance system that uses camera and automatic rear path prediction.
