Following significant growth rates in the first and second quarters of 2013, Universal Forest Products (UFP) achieved a further turnover increase of 22.2% to US$651.8m between July and September. At the same time the operating result improved over-proportionally to US$24.5m. The net result also virtually tripled vis à vis the preceding year to US$15m. The significant improvement in results was achieved in spite of considerable cost increases in lumber purchasing.
