Spartan Motors subsidiary Spartan Chassis has won a chassis supply contract from the US based Foretravel Motorcoach of Nacogdoches, Texas.
As per the agreement, Spartan will serve as the sole chassis supplier for Foretravel's new Realm FS6 motorhome, which will be available exclusively at Motor Home Specialist in Alvarado, Texas.
The agreement will see Spartan design, engineer and assemble its K3GT chassis that will be used in the Foretravel's 2015 Realm FS6 motorhome.
Spartan Chassis Specialty Vehicles business unit president Art Ickes said the company continues to be focused on leveraging its operational and strategic agility, as well as customization in order to meet customer requirements in the RV market.
"This agreement is a very positive development for Spartan, Foretravel Motorcoach and the market as a whole," Ickes added.
K3GT chassis is said to be one of the most technologically advanced and structurally sound motorhome chassis that offers 20,000lbs towing capacity.
Realm's K3GT chassis will be equipped with Spartan's new passive steer tag axle, which is claimed to produce a 7% reduction in curb-to-curb turning radius.
The motorhome will also be equipped with a Cummins ISX 600hp engine and Allison 4000MH transmission
