German car maker BMW has unveiled the facelifterd version of the BMW 1 Series with revised engine line-up and reduced fuel consumption and emission level.
BMW has used EfficientDynamics technology in the latest edition which claimed to help to reduce fuel consumption and emission of the vehicle.
Customers will have an option to choose between three- and four-cylinder power units from the company's new range of engine family.
The BMW 116d EfficientDynamics Edition will produce 116 hp and average fuel consumption of 3.4 litres/100km and CO2 emissions of 89 g/km.
BMW is also offering an eight-speed Steptronic transmission as an alternative to the standard six-speed manual gearbox.
On the exterior, BMW 1 Series will feature kidney grille and larger air intakes, new Headlights with LED daytime driving lights, "L" shape rear lights, and upper centre console with radio and climate control system.
Standard equipment will now include a rain sensor, automatic air conditioning, the BMW Radio Professional and the iDrive operating system.
BMW 1 Series will be equipped with ConnectedDrive, a radar-based Active Cruise Control system, Parking Assistant with parallel parking and automatic transverse parking facilities, camera-based Driving Assistant, and Speed Limit Info system.
The facelifted Series will also come with an embedded SIM card which will facilitate Intelligent Emergency Call and BMW TeleServices functions and access to internet-based mobility services.
