Hyundai has announced that the company has been selected as the official automotive partner of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, and has already provided a fleet of 94 vehicles to be used during the championship.
The fleet was provided by the New Zealand division of Hyundai, and the vehicles include Santa Fe, ix35, iMax van, and i40 wagon.
According to Hyundai the fleet is likely to be used by ICC officials, staff, organization executives and referees for the entire duration of the tournament.
The auto maker also highlighted that iMax will be used as the team car.
Back in 2011 Hyundai signed a five-year contract with the ICC to become its first official car sponsor.
The agreement included coverage of events including ICC Champions Trophy, ICC World Twenty20, and ICC Cricket World Cup.
The company is planning to expand its global sports marketing activities through the partnership.
Hyundai New Zealand general manager Andy Sinclair said: "We hope that our beach cricket campaign helped bring families together as they celebrated the summer of cricket in anticipation of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
"Cricket is New Zealand's summer sport and, as the official car partner, we are proud to contribute to a momentous event that brings so many people together from around the world."
