American Importing Co. d/b/a Amport Foods is recalling one lot of Amport Milk Chocolate Raisins based on a finding that a container of milk chocolate peanuts was mistakenly labelled as milk chocolate raisins.
Consuming the affected product would lead to life-threatening allergic reaction in people who have allergy or sensitivity to peanuts.
The product was sold in 12oz Clear Tub bearing Lot Code: 078X344 Best Buy: 12-19-13.
The company is asking the consumers who purchased the affected product to return them and get a full refund. This product was distributed to Albertsons, Farm Fresh/Supervalu, Hy-Vee and The Kroger Co. stores in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and West.
Till date, there have been no reports of any adverse reactions.
