Menasha Packaging, a packaging firm based in Wisconsin, US, plans to invest $6m to expand its food packaging business.
As a part of the expansion, the company will purchase high-volume printing press from Germany-based Heidelberg Druckmaschinen. It also plans to buy die-cutters, tape-applicators, and other automated assembly equipment.
With the new equipment, Menasha Packaging plans to create sharper graphics for food packages, and develop improved brand identification for Menasha's shipping containers, food packaging and corrugated materials.
Menasha Packaging executive James Snyder said that the customers of packaged goods require innovative solutions, plus support in order to speed their products to market.
Menasha Packaging specializes in creating graphic packaging and merchandizing products for retail, food, and pharmaceutical applications. It is a subsidiary of Menasha, which offers packaging, logistics and marketing services.
