MAACO, a part of the Driven Brands family of automotive companies, has purchased American Sprayglo Auto Refinishing and Body Repair.
This transaction is part of MAACO's long-term growth strategy and will increase its presence in the southeast.
Sprayglo Auto Refinishing and Body Repair operates seven shops in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.
After completion of this transaction, MAACO franchisee Mulford Waldrop will acquire five Sprayglo shops of the seven including two in Atlanta and Leesburg, Georgia; one in Fort Walton Beach, Florida; one in Saraland, Alabama; and one in Gulfport, Mississippi.
MAACO plans to convert each shop into its brand centers within six months.
Commenting on the acquisition, MAACO president Jose Costa said: "We are excited about this addition to MAACO family and are confident this acquisition will result in a win-win for our customers and our brand alike."
