According to South Korean media news, LG is secretly developing eight-core phone for the next generation Optimus G Series flagship machine, whose processor is code-named Odin and produced on the basis of 28nm HK-MG (TSMC foundry).
In addition, the message also said the LG 8-core processor Odin, similar to Samsung Exynos 5 Octa, used ARM-big.LITTLE / Cortex A15 architecture. Its internal eight cores were formed by four Cortex A15 architecture core and four Cortex A7 architecture core, in which the former was responsible for processing high-load tasks while the later for lighter tasks.
At the same time, the message also said LG has rebuilt Optimus G2. According to LG's willingness, they equipped the device with Odin 8-core processor in order to compete with Samsung Galaxy S4.
