Alexia Foods, a US-based producer of gourmet frozen appetizers, breads and potato side dishes, has unveiled new Smart Classics Fries and Potatoes, a fat-free fries with 100 calories per serving.
Made with US-grown Yukon Select Potatoes, the Alexia Smart Classics are roasted and are available in three varieties: straight-cut fries, crinkle-cut fries and skillet-style, tri-cut potatoes.
Alexia senior brand manager Jason Allen said, "Consumers are always in search of ways to enjoy their favorite foods while eating healthier, evidenced by changes to restaurant menus and recent news."
"With our newest entry into the frozen french fry category, consumers can satisfy their craving for a great tasting fry with a lower-calorie, lower-fat option when compared to what's available elsewhere," Allen added.
The Alexia Smart Classics are sold in 32oz packages for a suggested retail price of $3.29 and are now available in frozen food aisles across the country.
