UK-based Gordian Strapping's parent company, StraPack has launched two automatic strapping machine models extending the existing RQ-8 series: RQ-8x and RQ8000 to mark its 80th anniversary year in 2013.
Gordian sales & marketing director Daren Spice said the RQ-8 is a real workhouse and has proven itself in the toughest environments over the years.
While offering new features as standard, the new machines also include features typical of the StraPack range such as self-correcting technology, easy strap loading, auto re-feed and direct drive tension motors, which claim to enable quiet operation and optimum reliability.
According to the company, the new RQ-8x and RQ8000 machine models offer strapping speeds of up to 55-64 straps per minute respectively.
