Sanan showcases LED products at China optoelectronic expo Siu Han, Shenzhen; Jackie Chang, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 11 September 2012] The 14th annual China International Optoelectronic Expo was held in Shenzhen from September 6-9, 2012. This year's expo had close to 3,000 domestic and international firms participating. China-based LED firms such as Sanan Optoelectronics, HK Neo-Neon Group, and Ledman Optoelectronic showcased their latest products and technologies in the LED exhibition area. Taiwan-based LED firm Formosa Epitaxy also participated in the expo for the first time.
Sanan showcased nine new products that can be used in applications such as TV backlighting, general and agricultural lighting. According to Sanan, the firm's current annual capacity is 5.8 million LED epitaxial wafers and 128 billion LED chips. The firm expects annual capacity to grow to 10 million LED epitaxial wafers and 300 billion LED chips in 2013 when its first-phase plant in Anhui, China operates with full capacity and second-stage plant completes construction.
