Secure a Contract to Install Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in The Town of Bethel

Electric vehicle infrastructure firm SemaConnect has secured a contract to install electric vehicle charging stations in the Town of Bethel, Connecticut in the US.

The new electric vehicle charging stations will an additional electric vehicle charging location to the residents and tourists.

The stations being installed are networked Level II commercial grade, supply 240V and 30Amps, and are combined with the SemaCharge, a web-based management software.

SemaConnect charging stations allow users to manage time-of-use pricing with built-in payment gateway, run sustainability reports on fossil fuel and CO2 emissions, see real-time electricity metering and manage electric vehicle driver usage.

SemaConnect Business Development VP Mark Pastrone said, "With 50 of Connecticut's 169 communities already offering electric vehicle charging stations, we are pleased to be working with the Town of Bethel on offering additional charging stations and helping with the effort to encourage the use of electric vehicles."

Additionally, the company will offer iPhone and Android smart phone applications, which would allow EV drivers to manage charging sessions, search for more stations, and also manage their account.
